RUMORS Part II : Awarding Day

The 13th LSPR Theater Festival has reached it's final event! The day that everyone is waiting for, The Awarding Ceremony!

Since the 2014 World Cup is a current trend and a total excitement to everyone, it was selected by the committee of the Theater Festival as the theme for the Awarding Day. Each class have to wear a jersey of the same team. Our class selected France! However, because not everyone have a jersey for France, our class wore anything in navy blue.

Photos on the red carpet ~

Our selfiiieeessssss

The awarding ceremony supposed to start on 2 PM, but for technical reasons (i guess), the ceremony started on 3.20 PM.

As we entered the auditorium of where the ceremony was being held, we saw decorations of the World Cup flags being attached on the ceiling. There were other World Cup-themed ornaments on stage that shows how sophisticated this event is. I mean, this awarding ceremony is serious man.

The ceremony started with an opening from EAST, a dance team by the students who are majored in Performing Arts. An outstanding dance was performed. Soon after that the MCs came and lead the ceremony.

It has come to the awards!
There are 8 awards
1. Best Set Design
2. Best Costume & Makeup
3. Best Supporting Actress
4. Best Supporting Actor
5. Best Lead Actress
6. Best Lead Actor
7. Best Director
8. Best Production

I screamed every time Rumors was nominated. I was very proud, very very very proud of the team.
RUMORS received 7 out of 8 nominations, aaand earned 2 awards for the Best Supporting Male Actor and the Best Director. That one award that we're not nominated was the Best Set Design. Ugh it's all 'BI' 's fault.

Calvin won the Best Supporting Actor
Hakim won the Best Director

CALVIN IS SUCH A SURPRISE! We can't believe that our Ernie Cusack won the award! We screamed, some of us even shredded tears, unable to hold our happiness for the first award.

HAKIM IS SURPRISED! When we heard his name being announced as the Best Director, all of us hugged him, forming a human mangrove-root /lol/. He was still standing there, with a i can't fucking believe this expression that looked more like a poker face. We let go of the hug, Hakim was still standing in disbelief. He sat down on the floor  for a while till someone told him to go on stage.

We were the last ones who stays in the auditorium, and the lecturer as well as the assistant lecturer. See how we really enjoyed our time together /cliche/??

We were sad that we haven't managed to won the best production. I bet our class are able to won the Best production if there were two winners for that category /PMSL/
But, being able to be nominated in almost all categories and being a winner for 2 categories is a really outstanding achievement. I mean, there are 12 classes and not all of them made it to be nominees..

I'm so proud of us. I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH /KISSES/

RUMORS Part I : It's Showtime

Monday, D-Day
23th June was the performance day of RUMORS.

It was one of the best days of my life. One of the best day of my first year of collage.
Our class already gathered since 5 am in the morning, we kinda watch the sunrise together LOL ~

Good Morning from Anggie and I <3

After that we headed to the drama room to get ready for the grand rehearsal. We wore our costume but we did not do our hair and makeup cus it would take 6 hours to do them. Afterall, our show was still in 12 hours.
We finally went to the performance hall for the grand rehearsal. We need to test our mics first to adjust the volume.

During the grand rehearsal, Sir Mika wasn't really pleased of our performance. He seemed disappointed. We know what we did wrong, however, many students agreed that it was only minor problems and the overall rehearsal was great. We assume that Sir Mika wanted us to do great, keeping our hopes low so know we would do better on stage.

We got back to the drama room, taking some rest, fooling around, enjoying our time. Soon by 4 pm the makeup artist arrived and did our hair and makeup.
This is Inez by the way, she's so pretty

Class 17-13A, who had the first shift ended on time. Our class will start in an our.
By 8 pm we went to the performance hall. Our vendor was still building our set design. This vendor, let's just say BI, was a total shit. I mean, BI did most of the set designs of other class, but BI is definitely unprofessional. Our show that was supposed to start at 8.30 was delayed to 9.20 .

Our director, Hakim told us as the casts
"Give the best for our audience, they came here not because you're a movie star or someone famous, they're here because they're your friends and family. Be grateful because you have people like them in your lives.
You don't have to think about the time and duration, make the audience happy. This is a comedy, right? Take as time as you need as long they're happy. After all, we have keep them waiting for a long time ~"

Fyi, the maximal duration of the performance in only an hour.

Us, waiting behind the curtains

By 9.20, we finally started the show. I can't remember what happened it was too fast lol.

After the play ended, all crews and cast went backstage for the curtain call. Grease's Born to Hand Jive was playing and the MC started to call our names! I, I mean we felt so amazing.. After everyone was called, soon the curtain closed and the audience left the performance hall. Back on stage, everyone was so happy. We screamed, we clapped our hands, we hugged each other so tight, we were happy that all this hard work for this play is over but we're also sad that it is literally, over. We still wanted to be together. Sir Mika was there, he greeted us, said that we all did a really great job. There was this spark in his eyes saying that he was very proud of us, proud of today. 17-13A was his class too and they did a great job (their performance was super smooth, they were on time tho). Oh my gosh I really love this paragraph /sobs/ I keep reading this over and over again.

We soon get back to the drama room, we took pictures, and also, still hugging each other.
Since Sir Mika's birthday was a week ago, we made a little surprise for him! We sang him a happy birthday and present him a birthday cake.

About my performance..
I was quite disappointed about everything in me. I slipped twice during the show, well, I was thankful that the first slip triggers the laugh of the audience, but still, I am very worried that it would screw the show.
Last night I watch dad's recording of the show, and I became a lot more disappointed in myself. My voice turned out to be adorable, my movements are not bitchy enough and I was a little too swaying. I didn't realize that the makeup made my eyes looked super small. I don't think I have enough bitchy look in my eyes. My expressions are not strong enough!!

I never knew how I performed like, well I do, a little. I rely on every comments and critics that people gave me. I listen to them. I don't know, I know I can do better than that.

After the show people told me that I improved a lot. I am very bitchy, I even made one of my friend's mom hated me for my bitch-ness. I did a very good job.
Okay if they said that I did a very good job is that mean that everyday during rehearsal I was worst than that??

/Sighs/ let's just say that I did a great job. Well, that's what they say

'BEYOND' Cosmetics Indonesia

Yesterday, I was exploring the mall by myself when I suddenly got attracted at a little cosmetic counter. It was so Korean, you know, the adorable hand creams, mask sheets that are displayed at the corner, nail polishes and so others. I thought it was a mini counter of SkinFood (SkinFood was located upstairs), then soon I realize that it was BEYOND's.

I never ever heard Beyond, not even on local Korean cosmetic sites. I have heard Secret Key, the Skin House, and Mizon but Beyond is a whole new brand. I also rarely see the brand on beauty blogs. I was a little unsure about the brand, but soon I convinced myself that Beyond is as good as other Korean cosmetic brands (since the endorser is Kim Soo Hyun, whom also endorsed for The Face Shop)

Every Korean cosmetics that are sold at local retail stores cost a lot higher than it's original Korean price or the products that are sold on local online stores. For Beyond, it costed almost like The Face Shop and Tony Moly, so it's not as expensive as Etude House.

I didn't took much pictures of the counter since it was raining and my dad called me to hurry. So here's what I got, only 2 pictures

Beyond Indonesia is located at
Mall Kota Kasablanka
Upper Ground Floor unit UI-05&06

Beyond just opened their counter 2 days ago! And for their grand opening, they have 10% price off for all products and 15% price off for the Save Us! products. For a minimum purchase of IDR 300.000, you can get a free handcream worth IDR 45.000, while for a purchase of IDR 500.000 you will receive a member card and a free pouch as a gift.

What is Save Us! ?
Beyond positioned the brand as a cosmetic brand that concerns about the environment and cared about the protection of endangered animals. By purchasing the Save Us! products, you have donated to help the endangered species.

This is one of the Save Us! product that attracted me the most. PANDAA lipstick! ~ How adorable is that??

It was very hard to choose between the lipstick or lip tint. I really want red lip coloring since I never had them (I usuakky use pinks). Apart from the fact that the Save Us! series had larger discounts, the series also let me to help the endangered animals! Okay this might sound kinda cliche but I do care about those animals :c

So after thinking for about 10 minutes I finally choose the tint.

An adorable paper bag to carry my purchase

I really love Beyond's positioning, tho it kinda reminds me of The Body Shop.
There are already a lot of Korean cosmetic brands that focuses on natural ingredients, such as Nature Republic, The Saem, and The Skin Food. However, Beyond is the first Korean brand I knew that concerns about the environment and animals, despite that they also use natural ingredients.

Check out the 10 Eco Value of BEYOND!

Hopefully, everything is written in English ^_^

Last Day of Rehearsal

Yesterday was our last rehearsal of RUMORS.
Time flies suppeerrr fast, the 3 months of theater rehearsal is over. Tomorrow is D-Day already! The day we will perform > <

Inez said that this is such a bitter sweet feeling. We're really happy that all our pressure are going to end, and we can finally focus on our finals. On the other hand, we are also upset because it means that we won't be together anymore /aawwwww/
I'm serious._.
I mean, 17-14A is one of the best class that I ever have. All these random people are the definition of awesome.

ANYWAAAAYY SORRY FOR THE LOW QUALITY PHOTO LMFAO

Lastly, a support from the Performing Arts assistant lecturer, Fahad

It's getting real man. R E A L real.

A Farce by Neil Simon

Farce, a light humorous play in which the plot depends upon a skillful exploited situation rather than upon the development of the character. RUMORS is the title of this farce.

Our class 17-14A will perform this play at the LSPR annual Theater Festival. This event is part of the final assignment of Performing Arts.

Performing Arts is the only subject that I'm anticipating in the second semester. I mean, all subjects are hella boring, and Performing Arts is very unique yet interesting.

So, the semester is about to end. One more week until our final exam and everything is poof, gone, over. Rumors will be performed on Monday, June 23rd which is next week. I can't believe time flies really fast, really fast.

I am happy that our class are lucky enough to get a very nice and talented lecturer. Not to mention, the assistant lecturer is also a great person. Guess what, yesterday our lecturer, Sir Mika sent us pizzas during the rehearsal!

I'll stop talking about pizza cos I'm fasting today and fyi I stared at that pic above for like 7 minutes and ended up accesing the Pizza Hut site to order one -_-

Tbh I really don't know what to write here. Performing Arts is a liitle too emotional. I am sad, happy, worried, disappointed, scared, and excited as well.

Okay I'm done

Revew: ETUDE HOUSE Moistfull White Cleansing Foam

Annyeong!
Today I'll be reviewing about Etude House's Moistfull White cleansing foam which I bought last March ~
I never did any reviews of cleansing foams, so this would be my first review > <
My friend Cheonsa recommended me to use Korean facial foams due to it's natural ingredients and large amount of product.
Okay maybe she didn't recommended me lol she was telling me that she was reallly satisfied and those product really worth a try.

Product Information
Moistfull White is formulated with Baobab Tree, Niacinamide and Rose Hip Oil to supply brightening moisture care. Moist textured cleansing foam removes oil, dirt, and residues without irritation.

It surprised me when I read the word Baobab Tree. Because, Baobab tree is the national tree of Madagascar, Africa. It's amazing how Etude House can found benefits from nature faaar on the other side of the planet... Anyway, Baobab fruit has the highest antioxidant capacities in the world and also an excellent source of vitamin C. WOW!

This product does not claimed much of how natural the product is. Etude House only claimed about the whitening and the moist. However, I assume that this product is natural because it has a soft powdery-flowery scent that is almost unnoticeable, it has dense bubbles which tells that this product does not use additional detergents, and last but not least, the product does not stings when it made contact to my eyes! I know this might sounded silly, but I really tried opening my eyes when I use this product lol

Before I used Moistfull White cleansing foam, my skin is really dry. I use to feel that my skin is tight and I can also found cracks around my forehead and cheekbones.

Pros
- Does not dehydrate the skin, my skin are more healthy and moisturized
- Large amount that can last up to 3 months
- Temporarily brightens the skin
- Natural!
- Really heals the scars and blemishes
- Gave me a smooth and elastic skin
- Gives oil control
- Comes with a box which made this product seems sophisticated

Cons
- The product does not brightens the skin permanently. Maybe I have to use this product longer to really get the permanent brightening
-  Does not reduce acnes

Review: THE FACE SHOP Lovely Me:Ex Dessert Lip Balm - Strawberry

Omoooo hello June! I can't believe time flies so fast and we're already in the middle of 2014!
First post of the month!

The Face Shop's Dessert lip balm is one of my favorite unique lip balm. Korean lip balms are very adorable, some examples are like the It's Skin Macaroon that comes in macaroon shapes, the Holika Holika Dessert Time that looked deliciously adorable with the shape of sweets and also Tony Moly's Mini Berry that looked exactly like a cherry.
However, one weakness of those adorable lip balms is that you need to use your finger for application. In other words, is is not really hygienic > <

Okayy so just let get into the review ~

Description:
A strawberry lip balm with plenty of vitamins to keep your lips bright and clean

The product is available in 3 different flavors which are Strawberry, Orange, and Honey.

I actually wanted the Honey one because it suits the honey pot concept, but sadly it is currently unavailable u_u I can feel like applying real honey on my lips XD
What made this product different from other is that this lip balm comes with an applicator that adapted the shape of a honey dipper.

Pros
- Love the idea of the honey dipper
- There's a room for the applicator which made it more hygiene
- Yummy strawberry scent
- Moisturizes the lips and keeps it smooth
- It claims to contain plenty of vitamins. Let's just hope that this product really have them lol

Cons
- Can not keep the smooth flat surface cos the applicator would just dip into it
- Requires more space in my make up pouch
- Not long lasting

My rate: ★ / 4.7

FYI, SkinFood have a product that looked almost like The Face Shop's, but the applicator (which also looked like a honey dipper) is outside the package. Which one do you like better?
