#foodporn

this is porn alright

Let me explain about Ramadhan this year. One word, worst

This Ramadhan I only fast for a week. I can't fast on the first three weeks of Ramadhan because I was sick, and today, I had my fucking periods so I guess I can't fast till the end of Ramadhan. This month I haven't go to the mosque to do the Tarawih prayers and I haven't read the Holy Quran. I feel like I'm so far from God.

Some people may thought that it's lucky when you didn't fast. Yeah lucky if you can eat whatever you wanted to. I had trouble with my digestive system which doesn't allow me to consume anything hot, sour, or greasy. I also can't eat food that aren't soft enough to digest. What could I eat if it's not porridge??

When I finally fast, I was so happy because I was already fully recovered. In other words, I can eat food!! However, I went to dentist to have my monthly braces control (which I haven't get in 2 months due my tight schedule) and literally the dentist tightened up the arch wire and I can't eat anything. Back with all the porridges again. Damn

Today, I finally had a barbecue sirloin steak even though my teeth are not strong enough yet to consume this. Whatever, I don't care, I love it.

I miss food. All the flavors and spices, the glorious moment when you take a bite and all the savory made contact with your tounge, and you just realize how happy you are to taste this delicious dish.

Anyway, tonight my Dad, Zay and Ino would go back to our hometown. While mom and I stayed in Jakarta. See ya in 4 days

Makeup Wishlist!

It's been almost 3 months since I last bought cosmetics online. I did bought cosmetics at stores but personally  I'm not really satisfied due the lack of variety and of course, the price of product that are unreasonably expensive compared to online's.

I shouldn't be purchasing cosmetics right now, because in a month EXO would held a concert in Jakarta and I have to see them. My sister and I have this piggy bank of EMERGENCY EXO, where we have to save IDR 100.000 in a month. We started our savings since December 2013 when I found a rumor of EXO's schedule in 2013 that said that EXO would spend the other half of the year (June-Dec) for international activities, whatever it is.

Lol getting out of topic up there. Okay I'll just get to the whishlist
I include the Indonesian online store of where to buy these items as well as the price.

Too Cool For School - Dinoplatz Pop Up Mascara
Official price: KRW 18,000
Where to buy: Beau Young - IDR 179,000

Why?
Because this mascara comes with a box that is super unique and adorable. Aand.. I don't have a mascara yet.
Hmm I do feel like I bought this product just to get the box.
Curious? Click here to see the image!

Peripera - Wholy Deep Liner Kit
Official price: KRW 15,000
Where to buy: Little Dots Shop - IDR 160,000

Why?
Well, FROZEN is not one of my favorite movie, but it's a movie that kinda relates with me and my sister /aaw/.
I don't have to explain it here LOL
Okay so for a price of IDR 160k for 5 amount of eyeliner is pretty reasonable! I'm currently looking for brown and light beige colored liner, one usually cost IDR 80k. So, 160 for 2. 2!! Why should I pay 160 for 2 when I can get 160 for 5.

Peripera - Peri's Milky Tint
Official price: KRW 7,000
Where to buy: Chic Princessa - IDR 75,000

Why?
I am currently looking for purple colored milky tints and Peripera's won my heart. Etude House has a purple milky tint too, and it was quite hard for me to choose which one between these two. Hopefully my sister had tried both products and Peripera satisfied her the most.

3 Concept Eyes - Highlighter Beam 30ml
Official Price: KRW 13,000
Where to find: Chic Princessa - IDR 159,000

Why?
First, I need a highlighter since my sister broke my previous one. Second, this highlighter from 3 Concept Eyes is the best I could find.

Etude House - Lock N' Summer Proof 10 Cushion Liner
Official price: KRW 9,500
Where to find: Little Dots Shop - IDR 102,000

I was actually avoiding products from Etude House because the majority of K-cosmetics that I have are from Etude House and I really wanted to try other brands. However, this cushion eyeliner is an item that I couldn't resist. The concept of cushion is really interesting. Not to mention, this is product is part of their summer collection. I assume this product would be great for hot weather. Duh, it's always summer in Indonesia ~

Okay these are all the items that I want ~ I know I can't buy them all at once lol maybe one item per month loool

Anyway, I saw this banner today when I accessed Peripera's site. Ugh this week they're having 50% discounts for lip products. I'm a huge fan of Peripera's (and of course Clio too) lip products but I never managed to purchase their products because they're really hard to find. Well, despite the fact that they cost a little more expensive..

OMG not only lip products but also EVERYTHING! I want them all HAHAHAH

LOL I wish I'm living in Korea. What I want most of living there is to get all K-cosmetics and K-Pop merchandise without getting charged of the tax and shipping fee.

Okay see ya

Review: THE FACE SHOP Lovely Me:Ex Angel Skin Foundation - NB23

Hello! Waw it's been more than a month since the last time I post a makeup review. Today I'm going to review about The Face Shop's Angel Skin Foundation in shade NB23 which I bought around 1-2 months ago when the store are having 75% sale. I bought this product for IDR 45.000, which is around USD 3-4.

Description
There is a secret to hide even to young skin! Covers imperfections naturally and bring baby-looking

The natural result of the product might be a pro or a con. If you're looking for an everyday foundation that doesn't  make you look like using makeup then this is the right product for you. However, this product won't look good if you wanted that professional businesswoman look.

The foundation has a watery consistency that runs smoothly on my face. I use my fingers to spread the product because I'm just too lazy to use a brush or sponge. NB23 is just the right shade for my face skin tone. Before I blended it, NB23 seems darker than my skin tone but after I blended it it turns out that it brightens my skin instead. Brightens, not whitens, so it does not made me looked ghostly and I'm really satisfied with the color. About the undertone, I'm not sure whether it's pink or yellow, maybe 70% yellow and 30% of pink?

The swatch below is quite accurate. Well, that's how it was on my screen lol

What I don't like about the product is only about the oil control which this product does not have. However, I can apply finish powder to prevent the oil or even use blotting paper. So this is not a really big deal.

Pros
- Blends easily on skin
- Suitable for everyday foundation that gives natural result
- Covers the pores
- Brightens the skin
- Not cakey

Cons
- No oil control
- Does not contain sunblock
- No matter how much product I use, my skin still looked natural so it's not really suitable for serious makeup

My rate:   / 4.2

Zombies

I never knew that zombies, corpse, lifeless thoughtless yet disgustingly disturbing dead human, can turned out to be a sweet romantic yet caring creature that even humans might could fall for

My sister is a huge fan of Nicholas Hoult. She screamed for him even though she didn't know that it was him. Hope you get what I mean. While for me, I just adore him because he is a really talented actor. He stared in many movies as different characters. Literally, different characters. He's an attractive popular boy (this one is a TV show not a movie lol), he's a farmer boy who fights evil giants and ended up being the king of a kingdom, he's a big blue mutant called Beast and joined the X-Men, he's a warrior in that Rome battle thingy, and he's a zombie. Oh I just love actors/actresses that plays totally different roles in different movies.

Warm Bodies is a comedic horror and romantic film based on Isaac Marion's novel with the same name. Well yeah horror because it has zombies and the beginning part of the movie really creeps me out (and gave me goosebumps too). Anyway, here's the first 4 minutes of the movie, the creepy part that I mentioned above. It's not too scary, believe me

Who wants to see a Boney??

Fyi this movie is soo last year. I live under a rock, so, forgive me

I hate zombies, I really do. Most people here are scared of the local supernatural creatures that are clearly and obviously might be lingering somewhere around my neighborhood. But for me, I'm a pathetic nerd who is scared of aliens, zombies, and dementors. Umm look at the bright side, those creatures are no where to be found here in Indonesia! And the best part is, dementors are just fictional creature that is made by JK Rowling.

Just forget about the paragraph above.

So, umm.. Just letting you know that anything that you read below might contain spoilers. I don't want to tell each detail part of the story, I just wanted to share my thoughts.

I'm going to talk about the movie first, then the novel.

The movie.. Yes.. I just watched it four days ago and I can't stop thinking about it ever since. I knew how the movie's going to go. The zombie will obviously get the girl, whether the zombie will turn into a living boy or maybe the girl will turned into a moving corpse. Or, they wouldn't be together and this movie will be that terrible movie that has bad ending and just a total waste of time. I'm not expecting much, especially when I see the zombie's grisly visage. Eew, okay. Just ew
I do think that maybe R (zombie) would turned into a human, in the most cliche way. R's gonna be converted into human by the true love - Julie's kiss and they're gonna live happily ever after.

However,
I was wrong. The movie has a really good story. It is cliche, but the director managed to deliver it in a very entertaining and surprising way. Well, R didn't get coverted by Julie's kiss, but because of love. And the other zombies too. I'm glad that other zombies got turned into humans, so it's not just the main character that has good ending.

My favorite part of the movie is when M, R's best friend saw a poster of a couple holding hands. He felt love. Other zombies started to gather and stared at the poster. M asked a zombie that stoods beside him "do you feel it?", and that zombie answered yes. The camera showed the zombies, then suddenly there was this heartbeat from the zombies. This is really cliche but oh well I don't mind. Suddenly, a group of boneys already stood behind the zombies. R mentioned in the beginning of the movie that boneys would eat anything with a heartbeat. My heart raced as one of the boney approached M, studied him with it's deep hollow eyes. What happens next is that I'm not going to tell ya

What I love about this movie besides the story itself and Nick Hoult as R, are the soundtracks that somehow managed to touch me and the zombie makeup that slightly changed to be more lively during the movie. I don't know how to describe how I love the soundtracks, I just love, well, I love each songs that are played during the right situation. It gave me the feels, well of course that's one purpose of soundtracks. As for the makeup, you can read this article for complete detail. Umm the article actually only tells about how they did the makeup (there's photos!) and I am impressed.

I don't know that else should I fangirled, I don't wanna spoil much LOL

Okay so here's my thoughts about the novel

I think I love everything in this book. Well, I watched the movie first, then I read the book. Usually when I read a book then I watched the movie, the movie would be just boring and disappointing as hell.

R is more lively in this book. Marion gradually described R's changes in a way that made the readers surprised. For example, there was a moment when R suddenly smiled. R is very surprised that he smiled because all his life as a zombie he never actually smiled. This made me squealed, "omg did he just smiled??!"

This book has the "first person point of view", which is R's. Readers are invited to felt what it's like to be a zombie, the emptiness, the love and affection, the lost and confusion, and the new hunger.

I really love how Isaac Marion describe R's thought as a zombie. It was so real that I feel like I can feel what he's feelings. And about how he described R's hunger just made me hungry too.

I don't know how long it's been since our last hunting trip, probably just a phew days, but I feel it. I feel the electricity in my limbs fizzling, fading. I see relentless visions of blood in my mind, that brilliant, mesmerizing red, flowing through pink tissues in intricate webs and Pollock fractals, pulsing and vibrating with life.
- Hungry R, Isaac Marion

Okay I think I can came up with something better than that.

In my mind I am eloquent; I can climb intricate scaffolds of words to reach the highest cathedral ceilings and paint my thoughts. But when I open my mouth, it all collapses.
- Just R, Isaac Maarion

That quote above is my favorite. Every living mortal sure have had that situation where they feel like they want to say something but somehow there are no words that could express their thoughts.

I want to tell about some details that are different or not filmed in the movie but I don't want to spoil anythiiiing ;A; Gosh this is so haarrdd

Well, the book tells the relations between each character. Like how Julie and Nora ended up being best friends, how Julie's mother died, and more about Perry's life. And of course, there are some events that are not included in the movie.
The ending of the movie is completely different from how it's told in the novel. Sorry can't tell ya, but it's definitely EPIC. Both endings satisfied me, they have their own drama.

Yeah sorry I can't tell more :( You should read the book yourself! Hopefully, I managed to find a link of where you can download the full PDF for free. CLICK HERE for the PDF file, or here for the source. It's not really long, i mean, you can read it in less than 9 hours.

Movie or novel?
I like them both, I mean, I love them. In the novel, R is more of a gentleman (he died wearing black slacks, gray shirt and a red tie. He must be a businessman or something). He have his thoughts as a human, including his memory about the joy of sex and everything else. Especially for M, he's a total dick. The zombies are not as thoughtless as they were in the movie. While in the movie, the zombies are zombies. It is the thoughtless and innocent side of the zombies that made the movie so touching and lovely to watch.
There are many, I repeat many things that are different from the book and the movie. Yeah I do feel a little disappointed, but the novel and movie is a whole different story and both stories are very special in their own way.

That's all I can write. It's a quite long post

Game Over

LOL
That day finally came. The day when my body can no longer keep up with all my activities.
Believe it or not I've been waiting till this day to come since April.
I have never been sick since the first day I entered university. No absents at all. I've been thinking myself, wow Nad, you're kinda strong.

So.. by the end of June, a day right after the Awarding Day I had a fever. It was like any normal fever. What's peculiar is that after my body temperature was normal again, I was still terribly weak, I went to the hospital (for the second time) and they took my blood again.

After 30 minutes waiting for the result the nurse finally came with an infusion hanging by a pole. I soon realize that I must been having something serious. Okay, I was positive, Typhoid fever.

After they inserted the infusion thing on my left hand, another nurse came with a wheelchair. Waw, this is dramatic. I can walk yo I mean I didn't get hit by a truck and broke my leg. But, never mind. I'll just sit on the wheelchair enjoying being sick. Think of happy thoughts.. Well, now I know how it feels to be Charles Xavier.

This is me, sitting on a wheelchair like a sick person, facing the corner of the wide metal elevator.

They took me to my room.
I would like to thank my parents for giving me the VIP room, where the room doesn't really looked like a hospital and I actually really enjoyed my stay.

Anyway, I need this medicine, Nislev, with Levofloxacin as it's active ingredient, is an antibiotic to treat certain bacterial infections. It has so many side effects, I don't understand a single word but here it goes. Pneumonitis allergy, anafilactic shock, anafilactic reaction, disfonia, abnormal EEG, eosinofilia, and so on.... So yeah, this thing is dangerous and an allergy test is required in order to use this thing.
Before the allergy test, the nurse asked my mom to sign some kinda "deal" thingy to use this drug on me. Wow

And the allergy test goes like this.

Allergy test is so far, the most painful medical treatment that I ever experienced in my 18 years of living. They injected an amount of Nislev Levofloxacin under my skin and it feels like they're actually injecting a toxic chemical substance that's made of heavy hot metal.
The nurses drew a circle that surrounds the little dot of where they injected Nislev. And around the little dot, you can see a rash, as a reaction of Nislev.

The circle was there to see whether I am allergic to this drug or not. If I am, there would be found marks inside the circle.

Okay so I'm not allergic to Nislev Levofloxacin. So, they're going to inject the drug in my blood veins through an infusion.

Sir. Levofloxacin

In an hour after the drug runs through my left arm, I started to feel weird sensations there. My left arm started to turn red, the blood veins seemed to popped, hardened and become more visible, and the worst part is that I can't move my arm. I called the nurse, she said that the drug is too strong and finally divided the drug into 2 bottles and mixed it with something that I don't know so it's a lot lighter than before. I don't know what the hell am I trying to say here.

I'm starting to miss my normal infusion /sobs/

Anyway, I stayed in the hospital for 3 days. I'm not really depressed, in fact I kinda enjoyed it. I can "rest in peace" without disturbance. lol

Here's one of my lunch, tho this is not the tastiest. The food there actually tasted good. I mean, I have super low expectation for hospital food so having this is a wonderful surprise.

End of post!

I'm currently having final exams and I'm not doing them cus I'm way too busy having fun with Sir Levofloxacin. As for Ramadhan, ooh Ramadhan, I haven't fast since the first day of Ramadhan /criES NIAGARA FALLs/
I'm so bored of eating. I mean it, I do.
Well yeah I can't eat hot & spicy food and anything that is fried. I want nachos with hot salsa sauce and sour cream and I want 2 plates of barbecue sirloin steak with grilled potatoes and mix veggies.

I have a seducing image of nachos as my phone wallpaper.

Goodbye and have a nice day.
